Check Out What I've Created!

This class taught me the basics of Illustrator and Photoshop. It's the most important apsect of my design software knowledge and I couldn't be happier with how my projects turned out. In addition to the smaller in class exercises built to teach different aspects of the software, we had three large print poster projects due throughout the quarter.

Graphics and the Computer
Letterforms & Typography

This class taught me the fundamentals of type, type hierarchy and how to use  Adobe inDesign. Our main projects included font face studies, type hierarchy studies while following specific rules, and how to create a book using inDesign. The final project was to redesign the book "Design and the Play Instinct" by Paul Rand using the given text and images. View the whole book here or my whole process manual for the class here!

Product & Branding Design

Throughout this course, we learned the basic principals behind creating a brand and using that brand to create a business, along with creating a package that is based on natural biomimicry. The entire course consisted of redesigning a package and creating a new brand for a food (I chose pasta noodles). We first created the logo, name, and brand, and then moved onto our graphic standard, business system and finally our packaging and label. See the whole project from start to finish here!

Graphics for CCE

The Campus Center for the Environment, run by ASUCD, helps teach the general campus about being more eco-friendly. Most of my projects as an intern included making social media graphics to advertise events or share tips on how to be eco-friendly.
